Snow What.

Well here we are in approaching the end of January and we find ourselves in the middle of a blizzard, well at least in Lancaster.  Now, I must say that I was pretty lucky because I got to leave work early tonight.  I was able to leave at 5 and it still took me considerably longer to get home than normal, but since then the snow has really been coming down and there is probably at least 2-3 more inches out there.  Jerm and I went outside and played with Ripken for a while.  He really love the snow, and he is SO stinkin' cute when he is chasing it.
So, I guess I should give you all an update, because my life is so exciting, so exciting that I get about 100 hits per blog entry.  Than you to my loyal followers.  So,  My job, is going well.  I have been happily married for almost a month, and we are ACTIVELY looking for our first house together! While on the house topic, I should also say that my brother Darin and his wife Tammy have recently moved to Virginia, near Virginia Beach and they have found a very lovely house on a golf course.  Now I tell you this because I know she reads my blog, and I would like to be invited frequently in the summer, because let's face it, this tan is not going to keep itself.  So, anyway, we got our wedding pictures back, and for those of you who have not already seen them here is the website.

We are so happy with how they turned out!  Our photographer did such a great job, it makes me want to go back and do it all over again!  We had so much fun, and he really captured the moments that were special.

I don't really have anything more exciting going on in my life, but stay tuned, hopefully I will!

Happy New Year!

Well, well, well. Look at us all here with the new year upon us.  It seems like just two weeks ago I was stressing out over a wedding, and now I am sitting here on my day off with a nice tan waiting for 12:30 to come so I can go get a pedicure.  Life is too sweet.  So, I guess that I have a lot to write about since last entry, and I decided that I am going to give some details, but I am going to do it in while giving all of you the life lessons that I have learned.  So, here it is.

Love your best friends, they love you back.
With this lesson I have to state the obvious, my bridal party was awesome.  Danielle somehow singlehandedly kept me from killing about four people the days approaching my wedding and my wedding day. Lauren reached up my dress and put my garter on my leg....I mean you have to be a good friend to do that right?  And, lets just get this out there, they all saw me mostly naked.  I am so thankful for all that my bridesmaids did for me, from just supporting me along the way, to lacing up my wedding gown on my wedding day. Props to you girls.

You're the bride, you can be a bitch, but you still have to look classy.
I have to say I took full advantage of at least the first part of this.  Classy, well I tried but lets face it sometimes that is hard to achieve.  I have to say that I had people running all over doing stuff for me, and it was awesome.  They...just did it. They didn't even ask questions.  I had people picking up my dog, running for flowers, doing my make-up.  Now, with that said, I never want to be a bride again.  It is stressful. I just want people to do everything I say because they love me.  Good thing I am married!

You can have your cake, and eat it too.
First I should say my wedding cake was awesome. It was really really frickin' good.  We did the whole cake on every table thing, which was a sweet treat.  Everything just turned out great.  And, I just have to add that about 6 brides told me that I would not get to eat my meal on my wedding day because I would be to busy.  We had 2 entrees, crab stuffed flounder and filet. I had both, and I ate them both.  Eat on your wedding day.  It is the most expensive meal you will ever eat.  With that said I also have to add that our food was slammin', and I when I was done I think I needed my dress corset loosened, but I danced it off instead. Oh, with this said....

Shake your tail feather, even if you can't dance.
I have always thought I can't dance, and according to the Wii game Just Dance 2, I thought right all these years (supposedly even Jeremy is a better dancer).  But, I must say at my wedding I shook it like it was going out of style and I had so much fun!  I danced all night long, as did my bridesmaids. It was a lot of fun, and I would dance all night again if I could.

Find a person you love, and marry them.
I love being married! It feels pretty much the same, except a little more bling on the right hand, but I don't hate the bling.  I cannot wait for all that is to come in our life together.  Now, I must tell you all, Jeremy and I decided to see each other before the wedding.  People criticized this(which brings me to another life lesson People will criticize, mentally bash them, and ignore them).  But, when I was walking to meet Jeremy I knew we had made the right decision.  We met in a private room, just him and I, and it was awesome.  It was emotional, but not in the crying sense of the word.  He told me I looked sammin', we kissed and went to take some pictures, but I have to say that moment we had was pretty awesome.

Ring in the New Year with people you love.
It was so fun to be around people who you love and who love you back to ring in the new year. We are so thankful we picked new years eve to have our wedding date, because it truly was a hell of a lot of fun.

Make a new year's resolution, and try to keep it.
This one may be the hardest of them all.  Now this year Jeremy and I are making to new year's resolutions (well actually WE made one, and I made the other one for both of us).  Number one, Make our marriage work, get through rough patches, and have fun.  This resolution will be a new years resolution every new years for the rest f our lives.  Numero Dos learn Spanish.  We both took 5 years of Spanish in High school, but going to Cancun for our honeymoon we both realized that we do don't know much at all.

Don't forget your camera on your honeymoon.
There will be about 750 times you will want to take a picture if you do forget it.  And, you will have no memories of your honeymoon besides the film you develop from the crappy $22 camera you got suckered into buying.  You guessed it.  We forgot our camera.  Hope no one wanted to see honeymoon pics.

You cannot light a Cuban cigar on a windy beach with a book of matches.
It just simply isn't possible. Trust me, Jerm and I tried, for about 20 minutes.  Then we gave in, bought a lighter and enjoyed 2 Cubans.  We bought a 10 pack for $10, we gave the rest to some Mexicans, they loved it.  It was worth the $10 and the hassle.

Work out before you go to a country where woman wear thong bikinis.
Self explanatory right?  My ass does not look like theirs did.  Well except for the few ladies that were wearing things that shouldn't have been.  But, you'll have this at every beach right?

If you want to be a good mom, watch a Mexican lady soothe her baby.
Mexican mothers are really good moms.  A little Mexican lady just soothed her baby on the bus, it was beautiful, and it helped that the kid was really stinkin' cute.

Don't go to a Mexican market if you are a sucka.
Those bitches sure know how to pull the wool over your eyes.  Too bad I wasn't biting!! I got some slammin' deals at the market, and I am really happy with my purchases.

Drink too many big margaritas on the beach, then take a nap.
Don't ignore this one, its a goodie....and "nap" may be the wrong word, maybe "pass out" would be more appropriate.

I guess that is all I have for right now, but I have to admit that is a wealth of wisdom right there.  I will post some pics of the wedding once we get some professional ones back.  I want to thank all those that made it so special for Jerm and I.  Until next time!

Peace.
